It was great to dust off the house tunes for the lads at Bear Bar over the Mardi Gras Festival in Sydney.

This set is vocal house, something I haven't played much of in recent years but which still gives me great pleasure.

You'll hear plenty of 2015 chunky bass lines, synths and kicks with some gorgeous gospel vocals layered over the top of many of these tracks.

Also listen out for a bit of Mardi Gras magic as I throw in the odd classic.

Thanks Jonny for the chance to play at one of the hottest places on the strip over Mardi Gras and thanks to my furry friends for the support.

Freakin' hard techno. I was in the mood for some deep, driving, banging, bruising techno.

This mix has tracks by Ronny Vergara, Joseph Dalik, Forexample, Darmec, Maae, Jan Fleck, Lorenzo D'Ianni and Chris David. You can buy all of these storming choons at beatport.com.

Hard, just like in the good ol' days... thanks for your support

Here's a little preview of Extra Dirty this Sydney Mardi Gras weekend at Q Bar. I generally try and keep my podcasts to an hour but I had so much great new music I just kept going.

This set has Jewel Kid, Dustin Zahn, Sam Paganini, Nicole Moudaber, Tater Peter, Mike Mass, MiniCoolBoyz, Sasha Carassi and Jay Lumen.

Listen out for a techno/trance classic around the half way mark which launches the set from chunky tech house into charging techno and progressive.

You can catch some of these kick arse tracks on the main floor for the closing set at Extra Dirty.

Sunday, March 2nd
10 PM - late

Q Bar
44 Oxford St, Darlinghurst
Sydney, NSW 2010

Thanks for your support and Happy Mardi Gras!

Techno and progressive fans, this one's for you. Here's a little taster of what's in store at Extra Dirty on Saturday 25 Jan at the Midnight Shift. Deep, dark, dirty, sexy beats.

The first part of this mix is deep chunky techno, from Alberto Ruiz, Mattew Jay, Adam Beyer, Tom Hades, NHB and Carl Lekebusch, building to a crunchy, dark climax with the master of industrial techno Ephrun.

We shift gears from Ephrun's industrial piano madness to the pumping progressive of Kardinal, the gorgeous vocal of Moderat and the classic prog synths of Joseph Capriati. Sian dishes up very cool electro underground vocal, and we dive back into the techno sounds of Paganini and an awesome tribally rework of 90s dance mega hit "I Believe" by Luigi Madonna.

The set finishes up with crunchy big beat techno of Mike Maas and Kalden Bess.

See you at Extra Dirty for some of the best music Sydney has to offer dished up by Feisty, Juan Velasco and your Bear.

Thanks for your support

For those of you into a slower, deeper groove, here's a little warm-up mix featuring some great tech house from Harvard Bass, Green Velvet, Fernando Guzman, Carlo Lio, Sam Paganini and Vaal.

This mix ranges from electro vocals to gorgeous deep house synth riffs, fat house kicks and hats, techno kicks and bass lines, jazzy toms, and beautiful rising progressive pads.

Techno heads, never fear, I've got a banging mix coming up next with some techno tunes that are worth waiting for.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Sydney peeps at Extra Dirty at the Midnight Shift on Sat 25th Jan where I'll be serving the tougher stuff.

Stay tuned and thanks for your encouragement and loyal support.
